Summary: To be fair I did look back at my four page email confirmation and did see I was informed there was no wi fi. Did not see that. We did not come to Big Sur to surf internet but no access to outside phone calls, weather and maps presented difficult planning logistics.

Summary: The rooms at the Big Sur lodge are spacious and homey. They all have fire places which is a cozy addition. The surrounding area is beautiful and it is nice that there are several hikes directly from the property. The addition of the other parks passes makes it easy to explore the area.

Summary: It's a rustic cabin that's pretty quiet. There's no Wi-Fi or tv so if you want to unplug for a while it suits that purpose. The lodge was nice and good hikes around the area

Summary: The room was ok acceptable for the price range. It was so refreshing unplugging from the internet. We have a 5 year old daughter and initially we were not excited about it but hey it worked! More family time, being outdoors! The brochure said there will be at least one board game in the room but ours didn’t have one and when we asked the front desk they offered us the puzzle. I suggest having more younger kid friendly board games available too! The coffee shop was good but I felt like at the times I went it was busy so they were running around. The gift shop lady who helped us was not friendly at all. Not sure if it was because we were there early or what, she didn’t engaged on any conversation, no human connection. The front desks staff were all helpful. Overall, we loved Big Sur Lodge and we will definitely go back especially when the pool is open since its so cold to even walk by the river!

Summary: Disappointing, Lodge not ready, no Internet or TV available. Staff tended to be young and inexperienced. Redeaming feature was the Big Sur state park where Lodge is situated was amazingly beautiful.

Summary: The room was very clean and comfortable! The Access to Pfeiffer State Park and trails was a giant plus! We were right by all the iconic places in Big Sur. The staff on site were very nice and friendly:)
